Finishing oil is used for the treatment and care of wood surfaces such as alder, cherry, and beech. The oil enhances the natural texture of the wood and provides a glossy and durable surface that protects the wood from dirt, moisture, and drying out. The product is also excellent for kitchen countertops and dining tables. Lighter woods will acquire a light yellow tone.
Apply finishing oil with a cloth or brush. Wipe off excess oil after 1 hour. New or dry wood requires multiple treatments. Allow the oil to harden (9-12 hours) between applications. Sanding: For a professional finish, sand the surface while the oil is wet. Sand along the wood grain and wipe off the excess oil after 15 minutes.
